What are the various ways you can donate to the WSU Extension Master Gardener Program?
Through Washington State University via the WSU Foundation:
WSU Extension Master Gardener Development Fund:
- All donations are tax deductable
- Managed by WSU so it is suitable for all forms of donations
- Benefits the MG Program statewide
- Widespread impact and legacy options
- Doner can select endowment options or general program support
- Doner can support specific projects
- Donations over $25,000 can be endowed
- Endowment needs for the WSU Extension Master Gardener Program ("How will my donation be used?")
- Donations over $1,000 qualify the doner to be honored as a President's Associate
WSU Extension Master Gardener County-specific Development Funds:
- All donations are tax deductible
- Managed by WSU so it is suitable for all forms of donations
- Benefits only specific counties
- Restricted impact and legacy options
- Each county with a WSU Extension Master Gardener Program has specific development fund designation within the WSU Foundaiton. Donor should contact the WSU Extension office in their county fo rcounty project or endowment information.
- Donations over $25,000 can be endowed.
- Donations over $1,000 qualify the donor to be honored as a President's Associate
Through the Master Gardener Foundation of Washington State:
- All donations are tax deductible
- Donations currently restricted to cash and appreciated securities
- Benefits Master Gardener organizations and individuals statewide
Through individual Master Gardener non-profit organizations:
- Donations usually limited to cash or in-kind donation but varied with the size of the organiziaton. Contact your local Master Gardener non-profit for donation information.
- Benefits usually restricted to specific counties, communities or local projects
