Home Horticulture Training Registration

is now open. Please ONLY REGISTER ONCE. We are experiencing a high volume of registrations, which is causing the payment system to backlog. If your county is NOT accepting registrations, please register in the nearest county that is. Registration will be until open Dec. 18 or when the class fills, whichever comes first.

Learn to be a better home gardener

and steward of the environment this winter with Washington State University Extension’s new online Home Horticulture Training program.

Training focuses on a wide range of horticulture topics taught online by WSU faculty, staff, Master Gardeners, and other regional experts on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon starting Jan. 9 and continuing weekly through Apr. 24 except there will be no class on Apr. 3.

Homework for each topic is expected to average 3-5 hours a week in addition to the Saturday online class. Homework will include reading assignments, presentations, videos, and exercises all done online through WSU’s Global Campus.

Those wishing to earn a Home Horticulture Training Certificate of Completion will need to attend most classes and take weekly online quizzes and a final, all of which are open book. No memorization is expected.

Home Horticulture Training is offered in cooperation with your local County Extension Office, so please register by county and contact them if you have any questions. However, when registering, if you find that your county is not accepting registrations, you may register in the nearest county that is.
