Our Program

Pierce County Master Gardeners are Volunteer Community Educators and Community Connectors who are trained to work in partnership with Washington State University (WSU) Extension Program to educate the public and enhance the quality of life in communities by promoting science-based gardening and environmental stewardship practices. We are your neighbors and community members who are eager to connect you to horticultural knowledge and resources throughout our county, for free.

Our Foundation

The Master Gardener Foundation of Pierce County (MGFPC) seeks to provide adequate and ongoing funding for the WSU Extension Pierce County Master Gardener (PCMG) Program. Donations, special events and large-scale plant and shed sales are just some of the ongoing fund sources for program support. The Foundation also applies for grants that support our programming and local gardens. We also work to identify donors who support and are aligned with the WSU Extension Master Gardener mission. The Master Gardener Foundation of Pierce County is very proud to be one of the only counties in the state that provides specialty sales like master gardener logo wear and merchandise.

We’re excited about our brand-new website to support our mission to provide support to The Pierce County Master Gardeners. Click the button below to see our new site.
